This book is not for the faint of heart. What makes it even scarier is that I think it's true. I can't imagine submitting to that degree. The danger to herself is there at all times. When he's angry, I worry for her safty, I can see this turning out terribly for her. She loves him, she is obsessed with him, but are the feelings returned? I'm never quite sure. She feels they are. She gives all of herself and he seems to give none. Only what he wants is what he gets. I find it extremely hard to see this as a romance in anyway, and her utter feelings of failer when there are things that are impossible for her to do, and how she agonizes over these things. I've never understood in any d/s relationship when the submissive is not ever allowed to touch. Without touch I cannot feel the closeness that I need. I wonder if the times from her past with her family had in anyway made this all OK for her. She is so happy with this all, but this is what she wants, I find it so sad that this is all she wants, her life is nothing with out her sir. This is a very lonely lonely way to live, and I see this continuing through out the rest of her life.
